Yu Tian is currently a PhD student in Applied Linguistics at GSU. Before he joined IEP in 2018, he taught English for 5 years in Beijing, China and obtained his M.Ed. at Vanderbilt University. One of his major interests in both research and teaching is second language writing instruction. His class features a variety of fun activities to promote critical thinking, communicative skills, and teamwork spirit. He focuses on students’ learning process in his instruction, providing appropriate scaffolding during the process. He is friendly, approachable to students, and passionate about teaching.
