Abygail Thorpe is a second year Master’s student in the department of Applied Linguistics and ESL with a background in English Education, Spanish, and Creative Writing. She is highly passionate about learning other languages and teaching her own to her wonderful students. Abygail has taught English Literature in public schools, but has spent the last five years volunteering, working with, and teaching English to international students at the university level. Her professional interests include research in multicultural literature and studying the most constructive ways to be an effective teacher in a classroom centered on comfort and communication. Outside of work and class, she enjoys reading and writing creative nonfiction and poetry, as well as exploring the outdoors with her friends and her doggy, Anakin.
